Karachi: Sindh Governor Dr.Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan has said that Pakistan and China are time-tested and all weather friends.
He was talking to a high-level delegation from the Chinese regions of Xinjian and Uyghur.
Ebad said that the close friendly ties between our two brotherly countries is cementing further with the passage of time.
He pointed out that the people of Pakistan fully believe in one-China policy.
The Governor pointed out that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a proof of very close friendly ties between two countries.
He said that implementation of this mega project would not only result in creation of job opportunities in Pakistan but would also pave the way for industrial and economic development.
Ebad informed that fool-proof security is being ensured for the CPEC project. Police’s special security unit has been formed for the purpose.
He said that the volume of bilateral trade between China and Pakistan has touched 18 billion dollars and would increase further with the passage of time.
The head of the Chinese delegation, Zhang Chunxian, briefed the Governor regarding economic activities of Xinjian and Uyghur.
Sindh Chief Secretary briefed the visiting delegation about investment and projects of bilateral cooperation.
