Maintenance of Green Belts on Old Airport Road initiated by PHA Rawalpindi
On special instructions of Director General Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Ahmed Hasan Ranjha special arrangements have been made to beautify the Green Belts of Rawalpindi Old Airports in view of Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit 2024.
Ahmad Hasan Ranjha noted that a special campaign of PHA has been launched on the green belts of Rawal Road and Old Airport Road and PHA staff working day in and day out to beautify the roads leading to old airport of the garrison city.
Director General PHA Ahmed Hasan Ranjha said that on the one hand, PHA has been playing frontline role to control dengue larvae as well as maintaining the beauty of parks and green belts of Rawalpindi city. Regarding the maintenance and cleanliness of green belts, DGPHA Ahmed Hasan Ranjha gave special instructions to PHA staff.
PHA vehicles and respective staff participated in the special initiative to beautify the roads leading to old airport. PHA spokesperson also added that regarding cleaning and maintenance of green belts, grass cutting and plant beds were renovated on Rawalpindi Road and Old airport road.
She also noted that renovation of all roads leading to Old Rawalpindi Airport is also being done in connection with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit 2024. Twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been decorated and beautified with special arrangements on the special eve of SCO Summit in Islamabad.
