The Parliamentary Committee on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), led by its Chairman Senator Mushahid Husain Sayed, visited the port town Gwadar and inspected the route of the CPEC.
The committee inspected three segments of the route, including Tallar, Turbat and Hushab. It also inspected nine construction camps where the pace of work is fast progressing at a rate of 1.5 kilometres of roads per day.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Senator Mushahid Husain said the CPEC, as a corridor, has become a vital factor for uniting the Federation of Pakistan with focus on progress and prosperity of the smaller provinces, particularly Balochistan and KPK.
