Pakistan Joins Beijing Meet on Global Civilizational Dialogue

Beijing: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has arrived in Beijing to attend the Ministerial Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations, set to take place on July 10 and 11.

The conference is being co-hosted by the Publicity and International Departments of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee along with China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is part of President Xi Jinping’s broader initiative to promote global dialogue among civilizations.

During the event, Minister Tarar will deliver a keynote speech at a sub-forum titled “Civilization Exchange and Mutual Learning: Cultural Heritage and Innovation.” His participation highlights Pakistan’s dedication to advancing cross-cultural dialogue and cooperation, particularly in the realms of media, cultural heritage, and innovation.

While in Beijing, the minister is also scheduled to meet Ms. Cao Shou Min, Deputy Head of the CPC Central Committee’s Publicity Department and Party Secretary and Minister of the National Radio and Television Administration of China. The meeting will focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation in media, exploring opportunities for cultural exchange, and strengthening mutual understanding between the two nations.

Minister Tarar’s presence at this high-level event reflects the deep-rooted ties between the leaderships and peoples of China and Pakistan. He emphasized that dialogue among civilizations is essential for global harmony, peace, and development, reaffirming Pakistan’s active role in this process. According to him, the growing media and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and China is playing a vital role in bringing their people closer together.
