Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain says Pakistan Government is working to determine administrative status of Gilgit-Baltistan without changing its principled stand on Kashmir issue.
Talking to a delegation of Gilgit-Baltistan in Islamabad on Thursday, he said the government is looking into legal aspects to resolve issues faced by GB.
The process will not only help crystallize identity of GB but also further strengthen its linkage with Pakistan.
Mamnoon Hussain said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will immensely benefit the people of GB; and therefore, they should extend a helping hand to the government in its successful implementation.
He said Baltistan University will be established, and funds for the purpose have been allocated. Similarly, a campus of Karakoram University will be set up at Hunza. The admission quota of GB students in Federal Government educational institutions will also be increased.
