Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be a game changer for the region.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a ceremony held in connection with the opening of fifth Pakistan-China Business Forum in Lahore today.
About seven hundred delegates from China are participating in the forum where products pertaining to Automobiles, Textile, Information Technology, Energy and Food Industry have been put on display.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed the confidence that the Chinese companies through joint ventures will make huge investments in the area of steel production. This will ultimately help Pakistan to indigenously meet its steel requirements.

The Orange Train project is funded by Exim bank of China which has provided a soft loan spanning over twenty years, he added.
The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping in Pakistan last year involves energy and infrastructure projects linking the neighbors’ economies and creating an “economic corridor” between Pakistan’s Gwadar port and China’s western Xinjiang region.
