Members of 27th National Security Workshop Visit Gwadar

Participants of the 27th National Security Workshop visited Gwadar, where they received comprehensive briefings on the strategic significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), safe port operations, and the coastal surveillance system.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Gwadar presented an in-depth assessment of the regional security environment, underscoring that maintaining peace and stability, safeguarding local development initiatives, and facilitating trade and investment remain foremost priorities.

At the China Business Center Gwadar, officials provided a detailed update on ongoing development projects at Gwadar Port. Participants were also briefed on coordinated efforts by security forces to counter terrorism, curb smuggling, and ensure the security of coastal areas.

The attendees paid tribute to the Pakistan Army for fostering peace, establishing a secure environment, and driving development across the Makran Division.They commended the region’s positive transformation, expanding investment prospects, and the effective security measures in place. The visit also featured tours of Pakistan Point Gwadar and a Pakistan Naval Ship, highlighting the area’s strategic importance.

Overall, the visit offered participants firsthand insight into Gwadar’s growing role in national security and economic progress within the CPEC framework.
