SCO Chief, Kyrgyz PM Discuss 2026 Bishkek Summit Preparations

On November 17, 2025, in Moscow, SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Ermekbayev met with Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Prime Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, who arrived to attend the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting.

The two discussed the calendar of Kyrgyzstan’s current SCO presidency, including preparations for the 2026 Bishkek summit and other official events. They also exchanged views on strengthening multilateral cooperation and enhancing the effectiveness of SCO mechanisms.

Ermekbayev reaffirmed the Secretariat’s full support for Kyrgyzstan’s presidency plans and its commitment to ensuring the smooth organization of upcoming executive and working-level meetings.

Kasymaliyev expressed appreciation for the Secretariat’s active efforts to strengthen practical cooperation, advance member-state initiatives, and expand the Organization’s international partnerships.
