LAHORE: Newly-appointed Punjab University Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Moeen has hinted to establish the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Centre at the university.
Addressing a ceremony here on Monday after signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Nanjing University China at New Campus. Zafar Moeen said, “We must establish the CPEC Centre at the Punjab University, and thanked the Chinese government for establishing the Confucius Centre at the varsity.
China Cultural Centre Director You Yi, Faculty of Arts and Humanities Dean Prof Dr Iqbal Chawla and others were present on the occasion.
Under the MoU, both varsities will promote bilateral relations. The meeting also discussed various issues of mutual interest and stressed the need to enhance bilateral relations.
