Tianjin: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, held a constructive bilateral meeting with the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State in Tianjin, China.
The two leaders reviewed the state of Pakistan-Türkiye relations and expressed satisfaction over the growing momentum in bilateral ties. They welcomed the steady increase in high-level exchanges and cooperation in political, economic, defense, and security sectors.
President Erdoğan offered heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives and property caused by ongoing floods in various parts of Pakistan. He assured Pakistan of Türkiye’s solidarity, emphasizing that the Turkish government and people stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in this difficult time.
Both sides also exchanged views on key regional and international issues. They voiced grave concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza and reaffirmed their shared commitment to raising the legitimate rights of Palestinians at international forums, while condemning Israeli aggression and genocidal policies.
The meeting reaffirmed the historic and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye and highlighted their mutual resolve to enhance cooperation for peace, stability, and prosperity in the Muslim world and beyond.
