Pakistan is reported to have reached an agreement with the IMF on the release of US$1 billion in aid funds to Pakistan. Financial Associated Press reported on May 26 that Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have formulated an aid plan. Under this plan, the IMF will pay Pakistan nearly $1 billion in aid funds once Pakistan removes fuel subsidies.
