Islamabad (Web-Desk): In a significant development underscoring the deep-rooted strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, a high-level defence delegation led by Lieutenant General Wang Gang, Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), at Air Headquarters in Islamabad.

According to ISPR, the visit focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in airpower and operational synergy, amid evolving regional security dynamics.

During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in training, technology, and joint operations. The Air Chief extended a warm welcome to the Chinese delegation and highlighted the enduring friendship between the two nations, rooted in strategic convergence and shared aspirations for peace and stability in the region.

Lieutenant General Wang Gang was briefed on PAF’s modern force structure, strategic initiatives, and its evolving operational doctrine. He expressed strong admiration for the PAF’s high level of operational readiness and technological advancement, especially its seamless execution of Multi-Domain Operations, which he described as a benchmark in modern air warfare.

He also conveyed PLAAF’s interest in learning from PAF’s combat experience and praised its measured and effective response during the recent conflict with India.

The interaction marked a reaffirmation of both air forces’ commitment to deepening ties through innovation-driven collaboration, reflecting the growing strategic depth of the Pakistan-China defence relationship.
