In a pivotal move fostering international scientific cooperation, the University of Sargodha (UoS) in Pakistan and Zaozhuang School of Technology (ZST) in China formalized a memorandum of understanding to inaugurate a Joint Research Centre dedicated to lithium battery technologies at UoS. The initiative underscores both institutions’ commitment to addressing global clean energy and sustainable mobility challenges through strategic innovation.
Under the agreement, collaborative efforts will prioritize material science, energy storage systems, and associated technological advancements. The partnership will enable faculty and researcher exchanges, joint student training and supervision, and coordinated seminars and workshops to bolster knowledge transfer.
Additionally, the framework encompasses cooperative research ventures, patent development, and specialized academic programs to strengthen technical capacity. A Joint Coordination Committee—comprising equal representatives from UoS and ZST—will govern the initiative, conducting annual reviews to evaluate progress and explore new collaborative domains.
