CPEC would change fate of people of Pakistan: President

Lahore: President Mamnoon Hussain has said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would change fate of the people of Pakistan.

He was addressing participants of an International Medical Conference in Lahore.

The President said besides the CPEC, the government has initiated a number of mega projects across the country.

He urged medical practitioners to step forward and wage war against corruption and dishonesty with an aim to purge society from evils.

He asked the international community to adopt sympathetic attitude to enable Pakistan to completely eradicate polio.

President Mamnoon Hussain said that the polio virus affected Pakistan owing to wars in the region and the international community should extend support to the country to cope with the disease.

He said the medical education in Pakistan was at par with the international standards and involvement of private sector had helped improve the situation.

The President said the government was paying attention to the issue as various proposals were also under consideration in that regard and the people would get good news.
