Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad Khan said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would accelerate economic activities in Sindh, particularly in the energy sector and that businessman should avail this opportunity. He was talking to a delegation of Young Entrepreneurs Standing Committee of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) at Governor House .
He observed that young businessman and industrialists are the beacon of hope for fast economic growth and prosperity of the province, so government would encourage and facilitate them in all possible ways. With the expansion of economic activities in Sindh, many job opportunities would also be created. He opined that smooth running of industries could be achieved when unemployment could be minimised to great extents.
The governor said, “Karachi is the main economic artery of not only Sindh but also whole of Pakistan. The government was attaching high priority to maintaining law and order and promotion of energy sector and infrastructure.”
With the consultation of FPCCI and its affiliated organisations, all relevant government officials have been directed to provide the basic amenities to industrial zones to ensure productivity and also to encourage establishment of new industries, he further elaborated.
He ensured that the facilities of electricity, gas, water and roads in various industrial zones have been improved.
