Hyderabad: Speakers at a seminar on the ‘Introduction of the CPEC and its benefits to Sindh’ said that completion of mega projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would open new vistas of rapid progress and prosperity in Sindh and other provinces.

Under the CPEC, the Sindh government would be able to complete mega projects like Thar coal power, Karachi to Hyderabad motorway (M-9), Matiari-Lahore power transmission line, windmill power Keti Bandar, Karachi Circular Railway and the up-gradation of main railway lines, they said.

The awareness seminar, organised here at Shah Latif College for Girls, Latifabad, was the first of the series of seminars arranged by the Hyderabad Directorate of Colleges at different colleges of the district.

Around six hundred students of the college attended the seminar where the teachers Prof Asma Aftab and Prof Naseer and students Shagufta Naz, Sawera Sabahat, and Kinza Aisha highlighted the key components of the CPEC to be completed in Sindh.

They termed the CPEC a game changer in the region and said that the mega development projects would not only strengthen the infrastructure of the country but also help overcome unemployment by creating numerous job opportunities which ultimately improve the socio-economic condition of the people.

Chief Guest and Colleges Additional Director Shahida Abro appreciated the college management, and particularly the teachers and the students, and said that these awareness seminars will also be organised at Hyderabad Muslim Science College on January 17, Hyderabad Zubeda Girls College on January 18 and at Kali Mori Government College on January 19.
