LUOYANG, China — May 19 — President Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited key cultural and industrial sites in Luoyang, Henan Province, during an inspection tour on Monday.
Xi toured the Luoyang Bearing Group Co., Ltd., a prominent manufacturing enterprise, where he examined progress in advanced industrial development. He later visited historical landmarks, including the ancient White Horse Temple and the UNESCO-listed Longmen Grottoes, to assess preservation efforts and cultural heritage management.
During the visit, President Xi emphasized the need to “integrate innovation-driven strategies in manufacturing” while urging strengthened measures to “protect and revitalize cultural relics to enrich tourism and societal development.” Officials accompanying the delegation highlighted ongoing initiatives to align industrial modernization with sustainable heritage conservation, aiming to elevate the province’s cultural and economic profile.
