Chinese embassy delegation visits PTV Islamabad Centre, praises PTV’s efforts

Islamabad: A high-level delegation from the Chinese Embassy, led by Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Shew Wen Jiang, visited the Pakistan Television (PTV) Islamabad Centre and commended the national broadcaster’s efforts to promote positive bilateral relations between China and Pakistan.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Newsroom, Master Control Rooms (MCRs), Technical Areas, and studios of PTV. PTV officials briefed the delegation on the operations of various departments, with special emphasis on the jointly produced news bulletin “China Express”—a collaborative effort between CGTN (China Global Television Network) and PTV News.

The Chinese delegation expressed keen interest in the bulletin and appreciated PTV’s initiative in highlighting the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between the two nations. The visit also included a formal meeting between the Chinese officials and PTV News management, where further expansion of bilateral media cooperation was discussed.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shew Wen Jiang said the Chinese Embassy looks forward to enhancing its cooperation with Pakistan Television. He noted that PTV has become a vital platform for showcasing the strong diplomatic, cultural, and people-to-people ties between China and Pakistan.
