A significant delegation of officials and dealers from China-Pakistan joint-venture automakers marked a historic presence at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025. Among them, representatives from Changan Pakistan emphasized the country’s pivotal role in Changan’s global expansion strategy. During the event, Changan Pakistan’s delegation attended the 2025 Changan Automobile Overseas Partners Conference, where the Pakistan venture was formally recognized as a strategic pillar of the company’s international vision. Attendees engaged in test drives of Changan’s latest models and toured its advanced digital intelligence manufacturing facility and Global Research & Development Centre.

Meanwhile, Haval Pakistan—a joint venture between Sazgar Engineering and China’s Great Wall Motors (GWM)—also participated in the exhibition. The company secured 10 awards at the GWM Annual Awards 2025, marking the second-highest achievement among contenders from 80 countries. “This recognition reflects our relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation,” stated Abuzar Butt, Deputy General Manager of Marketing at Sazgar.

Separately, MG Motors Pakistan—a collaboration between SAIC Motors and JW SEZ Group—announced its appointment as the official distributor for IM Brands during the auto show. The event, formally titled the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, commenced on April 23 and will run through May 2.
