China has handed over two batches of humanitarian assistance to the Lebanese government to support people affected by the ongoing conflict.
The relief supplies include emergency food items along with tents, blankets, and hygiene kits aimed at addressing urgent needs on the ground.
Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Chen Chuandong stated during the handover ceremony that the aid is intended to help alleviate Lebanonâs worsening humanitarian situation.
He said the assistance reflects the long-standing friendship between the two countries and reiterated that China supports Lebanon in maintaining its sovereignty, security, stability, and unity, adding that further aid will continue within its capacity.
Officials including Bassam Naboulsi and Haneen Sayed attended the ceremony, expressing appreciation for the support and noting that the timely assistance demonstrates Chinaâs role as a reliable partner to Lebanon.
