Afghan government welcomes joint stance of Pakistan, Russia, China, and Iran

Web Desk; The Afghan government has welcomed the unified position of Pakistan, Russia, China, and Iran in rejecting the establishment of any foreign military bases inside Afghanistan.

In an official statement, Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, said: “We welcome the stance of Pakistan, Russia, China, and Iran against the presence of any foreign military bases. Afghan soil will never be allowed to be used against any country, nor will armed groups be permitted to operate here.”

Fitrat dismissed suggestions that Afghanistan posed a threat to other nations as “baseless.” He stressed that the Islamic Emirate considered it its national duty to combat corruption, narcotics, and all forms of harmful activities.

He added that Afghanistan aims to build positive and balanced relations with all nations based on mutual respect, describing the approach as both realistic and pragmatic in promoting security, stability, and development.

“Our policy is founded on trust, engagement, and friendly relations,” Fitrat remarked, while rejecting unfounded allegations against Afghanistan.

Political experts believe that regional consensus and diplomatic backing from neighboring countries offers a significant opportunity for Kabul to deepen political and economic partnerships. Analysts further noted that addressing the concerns of Afghanistan’s neighbors could accelerate confidence-building and enhance regional cooperation.

This development follows a recent quadrilateral meeting of China, Russia, Iran, and Pakistan, where the four countries issued a joint statement highlighting the importance of regional mechanisms such as the Moscow Format and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in addressing Afghan-related issues.

Observers believe the unified stance may not only strengthen Afghanistan’s international legitimacy but also pave the way for long-term peace and stability in the region.
