Following reported Iranian strikes on the United Arab Emirates, the Chinese Embassy in the UAE has advised Chinese citizens in the country to stay alert, closely follow local security updates, and avoid sharing sensitive images or videos of attack sites online.
The embassy cautioned nationals against filming or posting content related to strike locations or sensitive infrastructure such as airports, ports, and military installations. It emphasized that such information should not be circulated on social media.
According to a notice shared via the embassy’s WeChat account, sirens were heard in multiple areas after the UAE experienced renewed airstrikes on May 4. Authorities urged residents to follow official safety instructions during alerts and rely only on verified government sources for updates.
The advisory also instructed Chinese citizens in the UAE to remain vigilant, avoid potentially targeted sites like military facilities, and strictly comply with local laws and regulations. In case of emergencies, they were told to contact local authorities and Chinese diplomatic missions immediately.
The UAE government, as reported by Global Times citing Xinhua, condemned what it described as renewed “Iranian aggression using missiles and drones,” while reaffirming security measures across the country.
The situation comes amid heightened regional tensions involving the United Arab Emirates and Iran, prompting multiple diplomatic missions to issue precautionary advisories for their citizens.
