Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for concrete steps to accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural regions.
Xi, who also serves as general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks during an inspection visit to Dezhou in Shandong Province on Wednesday. He emphasized the need to advance agricultural and rural modernization through effective and practical measures.
