BEIJING: Chinese President Xi Jinping conveyed his Spring Festival wishes to retired military personnel across the country, honoring their service and contributions to national defense.
Xi, who also serves as general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), delivered the greetings while attending a CMC-hosted gala for retired officers from Beijing-based troops on Friday.
The event brought together veteran servicemen in the capital as part of celebrations marking the Lunar New Year, underscoring the leadership’s continued respect and recognition for those who served in the People’s Liberation Army.
