ISLAMABAD, (DNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday met with Ms. Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, to reaffirm the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, the regional situation, and other issues of mutual interest. Senator Dar appreciated the role of the Communist Party of China in further strengthening the deep-rooted bond of friendship between the two countries.Both sides welcomed the launch of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of Pakistan–China diplomatic relations, jointly inaugurated earlier this month by Senator Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in China.
They expressed commitment to commemorating this historic milestone through a series of events throughout the year.The meeting concluded with an agreement to sustain the momentum of high-level exchanges, deepen inter-party cooperation, and further enhance bilateral relations.
Emphasis was also placed on expanding cultural cooperation and people-to-people contacts, particularly through academic collaboration, youth exchanges, and cultural initiatives aimed at promoting greater mutual understanding.
