BISHKEK: Adylbek Kasymaliev, chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, met with Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun in Bishkek on Monday to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and military cooperation.
During the meeting, Kasymaliev said Kyrgyz-China relations are developing steadily and rapidly, with both sides maintaining a high level of political mutual trust.
He said Kyrgyzstan views China as a key strategic partner and is ready to further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership while expanding cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral platforms, especially within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Kasymaliev also highlighted growing international instability and emerging security threats, stressing the importance of stronger military cooperation to jointly address terrorism, extremism, separatism, transnational crime, and other security challenges.
Dong said China and Kyrgyzstan are kind neighbors, good friends, and reliable partners, adding that bilateral relations and military cooperation have achieved strong progress under the strategic guidance of both countriesā leaders.
He said China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to deepen traditional friendship, improve cooperation quality, strengthen coordination on multilateral platforms, and jointly safeguard regional peace and stability.
