Xinhua- The D4667 train departed from Baotou Railway Station at 10:08 am on Dec 23, marking the opening of the Baotou–Huinong section of the Baotou–Yinchuan High-speed Railway (HSR) and the full operation of the HSR.
The line connects Baotou city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Yinchuan city in Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui autonomous region.It spans 519 kilometers, has a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and includes 13 stations. Travel time between Baotou and Yinchuan has been cut from about six hours to under three.
The D4667 train departed Baotou Railway Station at 10:08 a.m. on December 23, officially inaugurating the Baotou–Huinong section of the Baotou–Yinchuan High-speed Railway and marking the line’s full operation.The high-speed rail line links Baotou in North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region with Yinchuan, the capital of Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
Stretching 519 kilometers, the railway is designed for a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour and features 13 stations along the route. The journey time between Baotou and Yinchuan has been reduced from nearly six hours to less than three.As a key segment of the Beijing–Lanzhou corridor — a major artery within China’s “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed rail network — the line provides a faster route connecting northwest China with Beijing, further strengthening national rail connectivity and regional integration.
