BEIJING: China has described the recent talks between the United States and Iran in Pakistan as a constructive step toward easing tensions, a spokesperson from the foreign ministry said on Monday while responding to a related question.
“China hopes that all relevant parties will follow the temporary ceasefire arrangement and stay committed to political and diplomatic channels in settling disputes, so as to avoid flare-ups of fighting again and create conditions for the early restoration of peace and tranquility in the Gulf region,” spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a daily press briefing.
