BEIJING: China successfully launched an Algerian remote sensing satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Saturday. The satellite was carried into its designated orbit by a Long March-2C rocket, which lifted off at 12:01 p.m. Beijing Time.
The satellite is designed to support Algeria in land-use planning, environmental monitoring, and disaster prevention and mitigation efforts.
The launch also marked the 629th mission of China’s Long March rocket series. If you want, I can make this shorter, more formal, or more journalistic in tone.
