A 20-megawatt offshore wind turbine has begun operations in the waters off southern Fujian, southwest China, after being successfully connected to the power grid.
The unit was installed using a 2,000-ton self-elevating offshore platform, as seen in a drone image taken on Jan. 13, 2026. The project marks a significant step in expanding Chinaā€™s large-scale offshore wind power capacity.
