Khalilur Rahman will visit China from May 5 to 7 at the invitation of Wang Yi, according to a statement from the Chinese foreign ministry.
A spokesperson said China and Bangladesh have long been âfriends and close neighboursâ and are comprehensive strategic cooperative partners. The two countries have developed ties over more than five decades based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, mutual respect, and equality, with relations showing steady progress and delivering tangible benefits for both peoples.
China said it places high importance on its relationship with Bangladesh and hopes the visit will further strengthen political trust, deepen cooperation across multiple sectors, and promote high-quality Belt and Road collaboration. The aim, the spokesperson added, is to further reinforce the ChinaâBangladesh comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
