ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will undertake his first foreign visit of the new year to China. He is scheduled to travel to Beijing next week.
According to sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar will make his first official overseas visit of 2026 to China. Pakistan–China talks will begin on Monday, with Ishaq Dar and his Chinese counterpart leading their respective delegations.
The discussions will review strategic relations between Pakistan and China, as well as cooperation in trade, economic development, health, and education. The two sides will also hold detailed consultations with the Chinese leadership on the regional security situation and on advancing the second phase of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC-II).
