BEIJING:Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday met his UAE counterpart in Abu Dhabi, pledging to strengthen cooperation in investment, oil and gas, and infrastructure, China’s foreign ministry said on Saturday.
The meeting took place during Wang’s three-nation tour of the Middle East, which began on Friday. He held talks with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, emphasizing China’s willingness to enhance high-level exchanges, deepen political mutual trust, and further elevate bilateral relations.
The discussions come as the UAE looks to expand its liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports amid global demand that continues to outpace supply.
