A three-day Civil Defence training program for boys‘ schools and colleges in Islamabad concluded successfully on Tuesday, benefiting more than 7,000 students. The initiative was launched by the Directorate General of Civil Defence under the leadership of Ch. Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

The training aimed to equip students with the skills to protect themselves and assist others during emergencies such as fires, earthquakes, and other disasters. Organized in collaboration with the CDA and the Federal Directorate of Education, the program saw participation from 70 boys‘ schools and colleges.

Expert trainers from the Civil Defence and CDA conducted practical sessions covering basic life-saving techniques, fire safety, first aid, and emergency response strategies. Six teams from the Civil Defence and four teams from the CDA facilitated the training, with students actively engaging in the sessions

Chairman Randhawa commended the efforts of all trainers and organizations involved. He announced plans to extend similar training programs to girls’ schools and colleges in Islamabad, aiming to integrate safety training into the regular educational curriculum. Officials believe this initiative will contribute to building a safer and more prepared society by empowering youth with essential knowledge and skills.
