Gwadar: The government declared a “Development Plan Package” to upgrade the district’s water, energy, fisheries, road connectivity, and health facilities.

700 million rupees have been set aside as part of the Gwadar district’s development plan for building and repairing classrooms for students. 10 million for the building of the Boys Intermediate College in Pushkin and Rs. 140 million for the building of libraries and multipurpose halls.

To upgrade the Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Regional Health Centers in Gwadar’s healthcare system, the government has set aside Rs 365 million. For the provision of drinking water, water lines, water supply schemes, and water tanks, 380 million rupees have been set aside. In addition, 75 million rupees have been set aside for the development and upkeep of additional playgrounds.

The government is building two fish harbors at Ormara and Jeoni to improve the current fisheries system. Rs 900 million has been set aside for the development of connecting roads from the Makran Coastal Highway to a number of communities in Gwadar in order to upgrade the road infrastructure. Meanwhile, connecting roads from the M8 to communities has been allocated Rs 700 million.

Additionally, the government has set aside Rs 155 million for the Coastal Highway to Kundasol Road and Rs 75 million for the Dagro Nagore to Adam Bazar Road.

According to lawmaker Mir Hamal Kalmati, the government is spending 250 million rupees on just Gwadar city. He added that minorities are also receiving funding from the government. To satisfy the wishes of the Hindu community, 13 million rupees have been set aside for the construction of the border wall. According to him, GDA is prepared to transfer control of Gwadar Hospital to Indus Hospital on November 1.
