Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed the longstanding, close and brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Tajikistan, reiterating their commitment to broadening cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity, energy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. They also stressed the value of continued high-level engagement to further strengthen bilateral ties.
Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin reaffirmed Tajikistan’s support for Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote peace, stability, and the peaceful resolution of regional issues.
The two foreign ministers also reviewed regional and international developments, highlighting the need for closer coordination at multilateral forums to advance peace, stability, and shared prosperity.
