Chinese President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing on Tuesday afternoon after completing a state visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, concluded the visit before returning to the Chinese capital.
Members of the Chinese delegation accompanying Xi on the trip also returned on the same flight. They included Peng Liyuan, Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The visit marked Xi’s latest diplomatic engagement with the DPRK and underscored ongoing exchanges between the two neighboring countries.
