CAIRO: The Chinese-Arab Partnership Conference concluded in Cairo on Wednesday with the release of an outcome document focused on strengthening media cooperation between China and Arab countries.
According to the document, participants agreed to enhance collaboration between Chinese and Arab media organizations and think tanks, support the role of media in promoting peace, and expand practical cooperation across multiple sectors.
The document also emphasized the importance of developing a shared media narrative and increasing cooperation in media technology and digital transformation, while outlining several concrete cooperation initiatives.
The conference was held under the framework of the Global South Media and Think Tank Network for Communication and Cooperation, an initiative launched by Xinhua News Agency in 2024. Since its establishment, the network has grown significantly, bringing together more than 1,000 media outlets, think tanks, government institutions, and international organizations from 95 countries and regions.
Co-hosted by Xinhua News Agency and the League of Arab States, the conference aimed to promote mutual learning, strengthen consensus on development, and support the building of a high-level China-Arab community with a shared future.
The event was attended by nearly 250 representatives from around 110 media organizations, think tanks, government agencies, businesses, and international institutions from China and across the Arab world.
