BEIJING: (Xinhua) — China’s Ministry of Commerce on Saturday said that the recent actions of Nexperia, a Dutch-headquartered semiconductor firm owned by China’s Wingtech, have severely disrupted normal business operations, warning that the Dutch side must bear full responsibility should these measures trigger another crisis in the global semiconductor industry and its supply chains.
The statement was made in response to a media inquiry on Nexperia’s mass disabling of the office accounts of its employees in China.
The ministry noted that through the joint efforts of China and the Netherlands, Wingtech and Nexperia have been engaging in negotiations to resolve internal corporate disputes.
However, by disabling the office accounts of its employees in China, Nexperia has provoked new conflicts and created further obstacles to the ongoing negotiation process, the ministry said
