BEIJING, (Xinhua): China achieved another record-breaking grain harvest in 2025, with total output climbing to a new high despite challenges such as droughts, floods, and prolonged rainfall in several regions, official data revealed on Thursday.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, grain production reached approximately 714.9 million tonnes in 2025, marking an increase of 8.4 million tonnes compared to the previous year.
This achievement keeps China’s grain output above 700 million tonnes for the second consecutive year, underscoring the country’s agricultural resilience amid adverse weather conditions.
