Islamabad: Islamabad Industrial Area Association (IIAA) Chief Faridoon Khattak Saturday said business community could get maximum benefits from China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
He said the CPEC was a game-changer not only for Pakistan but also for the whole region.
He assured of IIAA’s full support to the government in carrying out CPEC in terms of development and soliciting Chinese investment, according to a Press Release.
CPEC project would unleash a new era of economic development in the region, he added.
He said it will also create new job opportunities in the country.
He called for declaring industrial areas as load-shedding free zones.
He said Central Asia South Asia (CASA 1000) MW power project should be completed on priority basis along with Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline, Turkmenistan Afghanistan, Pakistan India (TAPI).
This would greatly help in meeting the energy demand in the country, he added.
IIAA Chief said that CPEC revolves around the energy cooperation; infrastructure development; Gwadar Port and industrial cooperation.
