A agreement of cooperation on establishing RMB clearing procedures in Pakistan was recently signed by the People’s Bank of China and the State Bank of Pakistan.
The introduction of the RMB clearing arrangement in Pakistan, according to the central bank, would make it easier for Chinese and Pakistani businesses and financial institutions to do cross-border business and facilitate bilateral trade and investment.
