## Refined Title: Pakistani Exporters Highlight Diverse Offerings at Major Guangzhou SME Expo
Over fifteen small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Pakistan participated in the 20th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF), held in Guangzhou, China’s southern economic center, from June 27 to June 30. The event featured a dedicated Pakistani national pavilion, officially opened by Consul General Sardar Muhammad alongside a local Chinese official.
Pakistani exhibitors displayed a wide array of products, including onyx stone carvings, bronze decorative pieces, wooden handicrafts, traditional furniture, and merchandise from e-commerce brands. A dedicated Asian brands zone within the fair highlighted Pakistani food exports such as pine nuts, biscuits, Himalayan pink salt, and Sindhri mangoes.
This year’s CISMEF coincided with U.N. Micro-, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day. Event organizers reported that the fair drew more than 2,000 exhibitors globally. Cindy Chen, Regional Director for Zhitong Batie, a China-Pakistan trade promotion company instrumental in introducing Pakistani mangoes to China since 2001, emphasized the fair’s significance: “This platform provides an excellent opportunity to showcase Pakistan’s diverse export potential beyond traditional sectors.” Chen further noted, “The response to our organic food products demonstrates growing Chinese interest in quality Pakistani goods.”
Established in 2004, CISMEF serves as an international platform focused on SMEs. The fair consistently attracts government representatives, industry specialists, trade associations, and SMEs from across China and participating nations.
