A China-Pakistan technical education partnership has unveiled 610 scholarships for Pakistani students to pursue one year of study in China during the Autumn 2025 semester. These scholarships fall under the Chinese Culture and Technical Education (CCTE) program, administered by the China-Pakistan TVET-Industrial Centre of Excellence (CPTICE).
The CPTICE was founded through a collaborative agreement between Chinese education technology firm TANG International Education Group and Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC). Its core mission is to integrate academic and industrial training cooperation between the two nations.
Eligibility for the scholarships extends to students enrolled in diploma and degree programs at 16 designated Pakistani institutes and universities, specifically covering their final year of study in China. The scholarship program encompasses critical technical fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, modern agriculture, food security, hydraulic engineering, intelligent mining, nursing, and mechatronics.
Mansoor ul Hassan Siddiqui, TANG International’s Country Head in Pakistan, explained the distribution methodology: “The scholarships will be distributed in a manner that institutions with higher enrolment will get more seats to fully utilise the quota approved for Pakistan by the collaborating Chinese institutions.”
This announcement follows the recent return of 18 Pakistani students to Pakistan. These students successfully completed the final year of a three-year diploma in advanced construction technology at Huanggang Polytechnic College in China’s Hubei province.
