PHA’s plantation initiative shield Rawalpindi from the effects of smog: DG PHA

Director General Parks  and Horticulture Authority Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that plantation initiative on part of PHA Rawalpindi played very important role to protect the garrison city from the worse effects of smog.

According to details, DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha visited Allama Iqbal Park and reviewed the arrangements for winter flower plantation and recreational opportunities for the public in the park.

DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that Allama Iqbal Park is playing a key role in providing quality entertainment to the citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He noted that Allama Iqbal Park owing to its unique location is very popular among the citizens of the twin cities and public in large numbers come to the park for entertainment in the morning and evening hours.

Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that PHA’s plantation campaign for the current year was successfully achieved and as a result of plantation initiatives, the Rawalpindi city and its people remained safe from the worse effects of smog in the ongoing winter season.

He said that the PHA has taken forward the plantation campaign this year to ensure practical cooperation in planting trees in the suburbs and suburbs of the city and a large number of people participated in it this year. He said that all the parks of the city are providing quality entertainment to the citizens and with the available resources are committed to provide a quality environment for the citizens.
