ISLAMABAD: For the duration of the current fiscal year, the Regionally Competitive Electricity Tariff for export-oriented industries has been authorised by the Economic Coordination Committee.
The decision was made during a Committee meeting in Islamabad, which was presided over by Minister of Finance and Revenue Ishaq Dar.
The conference determined that from this month’s first to next year’s June 30th, energy may be given to five export-oriented sectors, comprising textile, jute, leather, surgical, and sports products, at a rate of 19.99 rupees per kWh all-inclusive.
The ECC agreed to the request that both revisions to Trading Corporation Pakistan’s tender inspection may be temporarily canceled in light of the greater cost of wheat imports linked with the two recommendations.
However, TCP/Ministry of Commerce should guarantee pre-shipment inspection by the top four inspection firms at the loading port.
To guarantee that the designated amount of wheat is imported, the TCP was also instructed to publish new bids.
