Lahore: Assistant Minister International Section of Communist Party of China Li Jun met Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday.
Matters of mutual interest, Pak-China bilateral relations and promotion of ties between Pakistan Muslim League-N and Communist Party of China were discussed in the meeting. The chief minister said that China is a very sincere and trustworthy friend of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan’s government and people are proud of their friendship with China and the two countries are bound together through strong ties of friendship and mutual respect.
He said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a precious gift of Chinese government, leadership and people for the government and people of Pakistan. He said that Chinese investment of 46 billion dollars is a proof of deep love of Chinese leadership with the Pakistani people as well as confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said that a new era of progress and prosperity will usher in the country due to investment of 46 billion dollars in Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif said that vision of ‘one belt, one road’ reflects economic development. He said that CPEC projects will not only benefit Pakistan but the whole region adding that CPEC is a game changer for Pakistan.
The chief minister said that under the leadership of Communist Party of China, the country has made tremendous progress within a short period. He said that Chinese president has achieved a prominent status for China in the comity of nations due to his vision and hard work. He said that the growing contacts between Pakistan Muslim League-N and Communist Party of China are bringing the people of the two countries closer adding that the exchange of delegations at party level will further expand bilateral relations.
He said that Pakistan and China have uniformity in the views over international issues. He said that the terrorists are common enemies of all nations and all groups and collective efforts are needed to deal with them.
Shehbaz Sharif said that orange line train project is another gift of the president and prime minister of China for the people of Pakistan and such a big project has never been launched in transport sector in the country. He said that construction work is being carried out on metro train project as it is a milestone in Pak-China friendship. He said that metro train project is a big step towards achievement of the mission of public service.
Assistant Minister International Section of Communist Party of China Li Jun said that China attaches high importance to its friendship and relations with Pakistan and both the countries have similar views on regional affairs adding that the relations between Communist Party of China and Muslim League-N are strengthening.
