A new Silk Highway is under construction to link up northern Pakistan with China

A new Silk Highway that will be an economic corridor for development benefits of Pakistan and China is designed by China. This road will link up northern Pakistan with China and millions of trade vehicles will pass through the town of Sost that is is the gateway for custom duties of Chinese and Pakistani traders. The estimated budget of $46 billion is allocated for its construction.

Traders from China drives through Khunjerab Pass (4,600 metres above sea level) to unload their trade goods and Pakistani marchants pick up the trade good to lead these goods to 2,000 kilometres away on the Arabian Sea, in Karachi. The new Silk road will help traders to stay safe from Hunza river slidings during snow that blocks way during trade.  Pakistan and China are also working on a mega project of Gawadar and Beijing link up port that will be having allowing larger access to the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
